8minute works with landowners and local communities to create clean, safe, and environmentally-friendly projects.
Since its inception in 2009, 8minute has established a reputation as a trusted partner with communities in areas where it develops projects. The company’s projects not only support a cleaner environment, but they also strengthen communities where projects are located by providing economic opportunities.
We care about the communities we work in. Large solar and storage projects are a tremendous benefit to a community, and 8minute works with key constituents to ensure a great outcome for all.

General questions
-
How many people will work on the solar farm to operate it?
Generally, up to five full-time employees on split shifts to clean solar panels and run the solar farms.
-
Does a solar farm divert existing water resources?
No, operations use a minimal amount of water, with total usage (for panel washing and domestic use) typically expected to be much less than 8 acre-feet per year. The agricultural water associated with the land will be returned to your district’s water allocation pool.
-
Will roads have to be built to/from the solar farm?
Not usually. 8minute does everything it can to use existing roads and pathways.
